Visit to Old Trafford

At the end of the last half term, our Year 9 and 10 Sports leaders visited the iconic home of Manchester United Football Club, Old Trafford.

This trip was a well-deserved reward for their hard work and commitment to their program throughout the year so far.

The day kicked off with an engaging and inspiring lesson "Managing the Big Occasion." Led by the Manchester United foundation teaching team.

The session delved into invaluable skills such as dealing with pressure, cultivating resilience, and the importance of teamwork as well as hearing some inspirational life stories of present players, such as Marcus Rashford.

As an extra treat, the students had the opportunity to try on some match worn shirts and boots from iconic players such David Beckham, Messi, Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Following this, our sports leaders embarked on private stadium tour, where they soaked in the rich history and atmosphere of one of football's most Iconic venues.

From the player's tunnel to the iconic pitch, the changing room and the press box, the students loved every minute gaining an insight into the lives of professional footballers.

The day didn't end there, our students also had the opportunity to visit the museum, where they immersed themselves in the storied legacy of Manchester United.

From historic memorabilia to interactive exhibits, the museum provided a glimpse into the club's illustrious past and its impact on the world of football.
